Big double-up for John Keown

On a flop of 4s-5h-3s, John Keown bet 500,000, only for Noel O’Brien to move all-in.

O’Brien: 8d-3h

Keown: Qs-7s

Keown’s Queen-high was behind, but with his flush draw and two overcards, he was a statistical favourite going into the turn. Sure enough, the Nine of Spades popped off on the turn, which left only the formality of the irrelevant river before John Keown doubled up to over 5 million chips. With just under 6 million in play, it could nearly be over!
