Well it’s the semi final stage of Euro 2012 and I’m struggling to remember a less inspiring tournament. The domestic effort went pretty much as expected in that there was no success, but even so, the performances were just so dire.
And to compound it all, most of my bets have been losers as well, including my headline tip Holland, who didn’t get a single point! So this week’s question is basically who has been the biggest failures of Euro 2012?
Answer this week’s poll and leave a comment with your Twitter username to be in with a chance of winning a €19.80 Irish Winter Festival token.
Congratulations to Milan (@ironnutzpoker on Twitter) for winning last week’s poll.

I know nil about football, but I do like picking on the Dutch. @muckingaces
Holland should have trounced the Euro`s,woeful
The Dutch were expected to perform with the class in their side!! As for England, they overachieved with the spuds Woy took….Ireland were just spuds!
Irelands’s Nil Points- we havnt got nil points since 3rd April 1996,with “A Song For Europe” in Father Ted. @djdoc2001
@yuan9991
@pauldoc9
@bugsyshugars Ireland were shown up as technically inept.
I saw a stat for the number of complete Passes and the 4 semi finalists were in the the top 5.
The coaching at underage level needs to be totally revamped. Running 15 laps of the pitch and taking shooting practice won’t cut it.
The kids should be developed in a similar manner to the Ajax kids and all the Ireland international teams under 16 under 19 etc should play the same system 4-3-3 regardless of manager.
England and there weak attempt at playing football, same everytime
@hjplastering
Ireland’s performances…really disappointing.fair play to the fans though…they were the total opposite!@pcbunter
The dutch again have been tangoed and why not change your strips to yellow cowards
Dutch done me outta 50 quid #very dissapointed
funkyplunkers: so much hype and in d end they worse than tripe. Woeful woeful woeful. A team of me’s and i’s. No unity. No hope.
@rickomegan
It is so easy to say Ireland, but when you look at the quality of the Irish and Dutch sides you have to say that Holland were terrible. They did not even look interested in their first match against Denmark. I don’t think England did that badly (they won their group when many were wondering if they would even get out of it) except they did not press the Italians who are very ordinary in my humble opinion and will get a reality check against Germany. France promised so much but went with a whimper. Roy Keane could have been in that poll and would have got my vote. @rickomegan
It’s the dutch all that talent wasted because they hate each other and struggle to win unless kicking the sh*te out of opponents. @fiercelyacute
England and the Netherlands
@ConHarkinz (Harks1 on PPPoker Power 3)
seeing as Ireland departed earlier was hoping England would come through as they are our neighbours
