It’s that time of year again.
It’s around this point of the Premiership title race that someone invariably says something in Alex Ferguson’s direction that incurs his displeasure. This time it was Man City’s Patrick Vieira, claiming Man Utd were “desperate” for recalling Paul Scholes from retirement.
Of course, he usually responds in kind. Sometimes he doesn’t even need prompting, but when he does speak, the press all shout as one “AHA! MIND GAMES!”
Of course the only games are in the minds of the journalists who feel the need to hype this nonsense. It didn’t take the wit of Aristotle to muster a response to that particular jibe and like Fergie said, he’s got plenty of ammo.
Carlos Tevez anyone?
So this week’s question is. Who exactly is more desperate – Man City or Man Utd?
Answer this week’s poll and leave a comment with your Twitter username to be in with a chance of winning a token to my bounty game. $200 will awarded for knocking me out on Friday, as nobody managed to do the deed last week.
Congratulations to Mark Andrews (@superwombleuk) for winning last week’s poll.

Roberto Manicini did say he would “never” play for the club again.

Easily Tevez, although good to see Fergie bring bright young English talent through in Scholesy LOL
I don’t think either are depserate to be honest. Both players add a lot to the team but I guess that wouldn’t make for a fun pole so I’ll vote for Man City and Carlos Tevez as we all know how desperate they are for glory after being in Man U’s shadow for so so long
@BKutJE
Scholesy just retired a little early but has come back as determined as ever whilst the elephant man is making a monkey out of everyone at City…..Mancini will do well to keep all his animals in check over the coming weeks but I fancy he will need a summer break in the Asylum when the seasons over. Fergie has never come across as desperate before.
Man City for recalling Carlos Tevez
Can’t decide, both smack of desperation, but as I hate ManUre more and Scholes is a ginger tosser I’ll go for them!
@superwombleuk
And thanks for the ticket
tevez, without a doubt. when did fergie ever promise that scholes would never play for united again?
Has to be Man City @ctfc22
Fergie for sure, at least tevez was still a football player at the time. Only reason poll going other way is because there is more united fans than city fans around
it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool then speak an remove all doubt @djdoc2001
As a Man Utd fan I may be biased here but surely Paul Scholes even at the age of him is twice the player that Tevez is and that makes City more desperate

City.
Tevez should be banned from football for life, without appeal.
City by far…after all that he said and Mancini said and still he’s back, jokers!! @pcbunter
Man City !!!
